This De Vielle 18 Inch Lipped fire grate is a traditional fire grate design. Four sturdy 3 inch legs allow the efficient lighting and burning of material by permitting air flow from underneath. This De Vielle 18 inch Lipped Fire Grate is designed to fit a 18" fireplace. The ACTUAL measurements are less than 18" to allow the fire grate to fit into a 18" opening while taking into account the irregular shapes of different fireplaces. The De Vielle 18in Lipped Fire Grate is suitable for burning smokeless fuel that generally burns at a much higher temperature. Also for regular use with organic fuels such as turf and wood.
