How to apply Ronseal 10 Year Woodstain Natural Pine Satin:

Before applying Ronseal 10 Year Woodstain Natural Pine Satin:

Make sure to choose a suitable day to start painting the exterior wooden surfaces around your home and wear a mask when sanding down wooden surfaces if needed

Preparing stained or varnished wood for application of Ronseal 10 Year Woodstain Natural Pine Satin:

• Good preparation will save you time in the long run and give you a better finish.
• Sand down the surface to remove any old varnish and it will give you a smoother surface so the Ronseal 10 Year Woodstain Natural Pine Satin will be better absorbed by the wood.
• When you have finished sanding the surface, take white spirit and a clean cloth and wipe down the surface to remove any remaining dust and leave to dry.

Preparing new wood for application of Ronseal 10 Year Woodstain Natural Pine Satin:

• Gently sand down the surface to even out any imperfections.
• Then take a cloth and white spirit and wipe down and leave to dry
• When you are treating veneer, we recommend following the supplier’s guidelines.

Applying Ronseal 10 Year Woodstain Natural Pine Satin:

• To start, mix the tin well to ensure the colour is dispersed thoroughly and test the paint on a small part of wood to make sure you are 100% happy with the colour.
• Then, apply the woodstain using a brush, in the same direction of the grain.
• Leave the coat to dry for 4 hours and then apply a second coat leaving to dry for 4 hours as well.
• For best results and a neat finish, a third coat is recommended. Before you start applying the coat, lightly sand the surface to help achieve a smoother finish as the woodstain will be better absorbed.
• Leave the third coat to dry for 12 hours, however, it will be rainproof in just one.
• Each litre of Ronseal 10 Year Woodstain will cover up to 18m².
